Exceeding the 2023 Figures at the Istanbul Furniture Fair
The Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF), recognized as Europe's largest sectoral gathering and hosting business people from over 150 countries every year, aiming to surpass the 2023 figures in terms of visitors and business volume, has geared up for its 2024 activities. Organized in collaboration with the Furniture Associations Federation (MOSFED) and the partnership of MOS Fuarcılık and Tüyap All Fair, the fair in 2023 hosted a total of 167,500 visitors from 156 countries and achieved a business collaboration worth approximately 6 billion dollars.
The Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF), which stands among the most significant meetings in the global furniture sector and brings industry leaders together in Turkey every year, has intensified its efforts for 2024. The fair, preferred and organized simultaneously at the Tüyap Fair and Congress Center and the Istanbul Fair Center (IFM) due to its scope and size, contributes significantly to Turkey's goal of being one of the top 5 furniture producers in the world. Thanks to professional visitors from different countries, the fair enables participating companies to expand their reach globally. Commenting on the 2024 schedule, which was announced as "The heart of the global furniture sector will beat in Istanbul for six days between January 23-28, 2024," MOSFED President Ahmet Güleç stated: "Organizing the largest gathering of our sector in Europe every year, along with the increasing demand for our fair, is gratifying. We are constantly breaking our records both in terms of participants and visitors. We are working with all our might to be one of the world's top 5 furniture-producing countries. We believe that we will achieve this with the help of our producers through both our fair and international trade events.
The Goal is Nearly 200,000 Visitors.
While the Istanbul Furniture Fair (IIFF) was visited by a total of 167,500 people, including 25,764 from 156 countries in 2023, the goal is to increase this number to 200,000 in 2024. Due to high demand this year, in addition to the 28 halls in the fair centers, the fair, which took place in a 260,000-square-meter area with tents, is expected to outperform its 2023 performance, generating billions of dollars in business volume over six days.
Highlighting the significant business deals made during or after the organization, Ahmet Güleç noted, "According to the feedback we received from our visitors, 90% of those who attended the fair in 2023 say they will visit again in 2024. Additionally, 93% expressed overall satisfaction with the fair. We are striving to improve ourselves based on the feedback from both our visitors and participants. The Turkish furniture industry is continuously enhancing both its design and product quality, and due to this characteristic, we are one of the four countries globally in terms of product variety. While organizing the Istanbul Furniture Fair on one hand, we will continue to proudly represent our country in global events on the other."
