Founded in 1958 by Metin Atabey Ata at a metal workshop in Sivas, Ersa has become one of the pioneers of the furniture industry in Turkey with the importance it attaches to innovation and design since its establishment. Today, the firm is among the industry's biggest producers, with an annual panel processing capacity of 4.5 million square meters and manufacturing 530,000 pieces of furniture. The production is carried out on its premises covering 60,000 square meters. Creating innovative and high-quality solutions for people from various industries such as furniture, design, production and architecture, both in Turkey and the world, Ersa, with its export rate three times that of Turkey’s average, has achieved remarkable success in the international arena as well. Having collaborated with well-known designers both from Türkiye and abroad, Ersa has over fifty prestigious awards such as Red Dot, Good Design, Design Turkey. The brand also manages the Turkey representation of world-renowned furniture brands such as Haworth, Cappelini, and Quadrifoglio. In March 2017, Ersa put the first research and development center into operation in office furniture category within its production structure in Ankara, investing approximately 3 million Turkish Liras. At the same time, having the Design Center that is located in the Altunizade branch in Istanbul, registered by the Ministry of Science, Industry & Technology, Ersa achieved another first. The firm aims to expand its domestic growth on a global scale by being included in the TURQUALITY® Support Program in 2017. Ersa, which continues its growth focused on design and innovation every passing year, celebrated its 60th anniversary this year by introducing products developed not only for workspaces but also for living spaces. They introduced their new living series, developed through numerous valuable designer collaborations for living spaces, for the first time at the 14th International Istanbul Furniture Fair. The firm presented its new concept “Welcome to your home” to the users for the first time at Istanbul HOM Design Center. As of 2019, Ankara Officium Beytepe store will be showcasing both living and working spaces. In addition to the already existing stores in Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Izmit and Bursa, Ersa aims to provide a faster and better service with its new branches in Adana and Istanbul.
